1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the SipScan mobile application, website, and related services provided by Sentez Inc.

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using SipScan, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of the service

SipScan is an AI-powered alcohol identifier and collection manager. It identifies wine, whiskey, beer, and spirits from label photos and provides tasting notes, estimated market value, quality scores, and food pairing suggestions. It also lets users build and manage a personal cellar.

We may add, remove, suspend, or modify features at any time, including AI outputs, subscription features, pricing data, and product surfaces.

3. Eligibility and age restriction

SipScan is intended exclusively for users of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. You must be at least 21 years old in the United States, or 18 years old (or the local legal drinking age) in other countries, to use SipScan.

You must confirm your age when first launching the app. Misrepresenting your age violates these Terms and may result in immediate termination.

The service is intended for iPhone users and may require supported iOS versions, device hardware, network access, and an App Store account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the service lawfully and responsibly.

• Do not use SipScan if you are below the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction.
• Do not upload content you do not own or do not have permission to use.
• Do not upload unlawful, abusive, harassing, infringing, or deceptive content.
• Do not rely on SipScan ratings, prices, or pairings as financial, medical, or professional advice.
• Do not reverse-engineer, probe, disrupt, scrape, or bypass technical protections of the service.
• Do not use bots, scripts, or automation to access the service except as expressly permitted by us.
• Always drink responsibly and follow the laws of your jurisdiction.

5. AI outputs and disclaimers

SipScan provides automated, non-human analysis. Identifications, tasting notes, quality scores, estimated prices, and pairing suggestions are informational only and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Estimated values are AI-generated approximations and are not professional appraisals. Do not rely on them for insurance, resale, investment, or tax purposes.

SipScan does not provide medical, dietary, financial, or professional advice. Please drink responsibly and consult appropriate professionals when needed.

6. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Certain features may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase through Apple. Standard pricing is $6.99 per week or $49.99 per year. Pricing, renewal timing, and taxes are presented through the App Store and may change over time.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple account settings before the renewal date. Refunds, billing disputes, and purchase management are handled according to Apple's applicable platform policies.

7. Intellectual property

The SipScan service, including its software, branding, interface design, text, graphics, and underlying technology, is owned by Sentez Inc. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for limited rights to use the app in accordance with these Terms, no rights are granted to you in our intellectual property.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the service at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for us or others, used the service while underage, or otherwise used the service in a harmful, unlawful, or abusive manner.

You may stop using the service at any time by discontinuing access and deleting the app from your device.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SipScan and Sentez Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, goodwill loss, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the service, including any reliance on price estimates, identifications, or pairings.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to use SipScan during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars, whichever is greater.

10. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Sentez Inc., without regard to conflict of law principles, unless otherwise required by consumer protection laws in your place of residence.
